CitedRTViewer: A Convenient Tool for Viewing Quoted Retweets on Twitter
CitedRTViewer is a Chrome add-on developed by HexagramNM that enhances the Twitter browsing experience by adding a button to search for quoted retweets (RTs) below replies. With just a click, a separate window opens, displaying a list of RTs that have quoted the tweet being viewed.
What sets CitedRTViewer apart from the official quoted retweet viewing feature introduced in late May 2020 are several key differences. Firstly, it allows users to view RTs that were created by directly pasting the tweet instead of using the official quoted retweet feature. Secondly, it removes the original tweet from all but the top RT, making it easier to read and navigate through RT comments with minimal scrolling. Additionally, while the official feature only sorts by "topical order," CitedRTViewer utilizes Twitter's search function, allowing users to sort RTs by both "topical order" and "latest order."
Furthermore, CitedRTViewer also applies the same removal of the original tweet for the official quoted retweet display, ensuring a consistent and streamlined reading experience.
